Rewst accepts the GTIA Spotlight Award

Innovation in the channel doesn’t just come from building new technology—it comes from redefining what’s possible for the partners who rely on it. That’s exactly what Rewst, the 2026 GTIA Innovative Vendor Award Winner, has done. Known for transforming how MSPs think about automation, Rewst has shifted the conversation from “what can we automate?” to “how far can automation take us?”

Speaking on behalf of the company is George Smith, community engagement manager at Rewst, whose work sits at the intersection of technology, partner enablement and real-world operational transformation. Learn how Rewst is pushing boundaries—not just by delivering powerful capabilities, but by empowering an entire community of partners to innovate alongside them.

What accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of that led to your selection for this award?

What I’m most proud of is how we’ve helped reshape how MSPs think about automation. At Rewst, we’ve gone beyond just offering tools—we’ve focused on making automation truly accessible, scalable and impactful for partners at every level of maturity. A big part of that has been building a platform and community that empowers MSPs to eliminate repetitive work and reinvest that time into higher-value services. Seeing partners not only adopt automation but fundamentally transform their operations because of it—that’s been the most rewarding outcome, and I believe a key reason we were recognized.

How are you seeing the IT channel evolve right now, and what trends do you think will define the next few years?

Automation and orchestration are becoming foundational, not optional. We’re also seeing a shift toward platform consolidation and deeper integrations, where tools need to work seamlessly together rather than exist in silos. Over the next few years, the defining trend will be operational maturity—MSPs that invest in automation, standardization and data-driven decision-making will pull ahead, while others may struggle to keep up.

What motivates Rewst to continue driving innovation and leadership within GTIA?

At our core, we’re motivated by the success of our partners. When MSPs grow more efficiently, deliver better service and create healthier businesses, that has a ripple effect across the entire channel. Our involvement with GTIA is an extension of that mindset. It’s an opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and help push the industry forward collectively. Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens when vendors and partners work together to solve real problems. For us, it’s about continuing to challenge the status quo and ensuring that automation becomes a standard capability across the channel, not just a competitive advantage for a few.

Can you share a meaningful lesson or unexpected insight you gained during the project or work you’ve engaged in with GTIA?

One of the biggest insights has been just how varied MSP maturity levels still are when it comes to automation and process optimization. It’s easy to assume the industry is moving uniformly, but in reality, there’s a wide spectrum. From highly automated organizations to those just starting to document their processes. That’s reinforced the importance of meeting partners where they are and building solutions that can scale with them. It’s also highlighted how critical education and community are. Technology alone isn’t enough. Helping partners understand how and why to implement it is just as important.

What impact do you hope your work will have on the broader industry or on the next generation of channel leaders?

I hope we’re helping set the expectation that automation is foundational and that building scalable, intelligent operations from day one is just how things are done. If we can help create an industry where MSPs are less reactive, more strategic and better equipped to innovate, then we’ve made a meaningful impact.
