Moovila accepting the GTIA North America Spotlight Award

Steve Jobs once said, “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” Indeed, investing in new products, services, business models and channel programs can be the difference between success and chasing success—especially if it’s tied to customer or partner profitability and growth. It’s a philosophy that Mike Psenka, president and CEO of Moovila, has instilled into the company’s culture and mission. ITSPs have noticed—and so did the judges for this year’s GTIA North America Spotlight Awards.

Moovila walked away with the GTIA Innovative Vendor Award for exemplifying effective implementation of innovation driving significant change within their organization and industry. We asked Psenka how Moovila strives to be innovative and why ITSPs should do the same. Here’s what he had to say.

What does winning the GTIA Innovative Vendor Award mean to you?

Winning the GTIA Innovative Vendor Award is an honor because we understand the rigorous standards of the award process. GTIA goes to great lengths to remove the commercial biases that can often influence the selection process.  This award represents authentic recognition of our efforts to deliver meaningful innovation. It validates that our focus on creating impactful, AI-driven solutions genuinely resonate within our community.

How important is it to stay innovative and ahead of current market trends?

It’s absolutely critical. Staying innovative and ahead of market trends is foundational—not just for growth, but for survival in today’s rapidly evolving landscape. Innovation allows us to proactively meet challenges, deliver exceptional value to customers and maintain a competitive edge. It's not just something we strive for; it's embedded in our culture.

How are you staying innovative in the market?

Innovation for us means translating cutting-edge developments—especially in deterministic AI—into practical tools that enhance our partners’ bottom line. A recent innovation called Smart Schedule autonomously builds and manages project schedules by intelligently aligning tasks with resource availability, skills required and project deadlines. By making sure the right people are working on the right tasks at the right time (and in the right order), ITSPs and MSPs are significantly optimizing project timelines and improving customer satisfaction.

How are your channel partners resonating with your efforts in the market?

Our channel partners have responded enthusiastically. They're experiencing firsthand how AI and automation significantly enhance efficiency and profitability, and this impact energizes our partnerships. Seeing real, measurable improvements motivates our partners to deepen their engagement with Moovila and helps us collectively raise the bar for innovation across the industry.

What advice do you have for other vendors to be more innovative and differentiate themselves in the market?

Focus your innovations on directly enhancing your partners’ profitability—especially within the ITSP community. Innovations should directly tie to the success of their bottom line and their relationships in the market. By prioritizing solutions that help ITSPs improve efficiency, drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships, you naturally differentiate yourself and deliver meaningful, lasting value.

A Personal Journey: How Community Shaped My Success

Customer satisfaction is one of the most important aspects of any business. It doesn’t matter how much you know if you can’t demonstrate value. This may be even more true for MSPs. After all, there are lots of companies and lots of products and tools that tell you they can help you. It’s up to you to figure out what works best for your business model, your budget and your customer needs. There’s no one right answer, and no one can do it all. We all need help. Being an active participant in a community or a group like the Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA) is a great place to start.
