Jamie Claret accepts the GTIA Spotlight Award.

In just under four years, Autonomate CEO Jamie Claret started a fledgling company and transformed it into a powerhouse for AI-driven solutions—helping businesses not only automate but thrive in an era of relentless change. The journey and transformation have won Claret, and Autonomate, accolades across the IT channel, culminating with judges from around the world selecting him to receive the GTIA UK & Ireland MSP/Solution Provider Award for 2025.

For Claret, the honour isn’t just a trophy on the shelf, it’s a testament to grit, learning curves and building a team that delivers at a gold standard. What makes this journey remarkable isn’t just the tech—it’s the human touch. From bridging complex AI concepts with clarity to keeping empathy at the heart of automation, Autonomate is proof that success today means blending innovation with connection.

We asked Claret how his involvement with GTIA has shaped Autonomate’s journey and what advice he has MSPs to be successful in a rapidly changing world. Here’s what he had to say.

What does winning the GTIA MSP/Solution Provider Award mean to you?

It honestly means a hell of a lot. Autonomate was started just under four years ago, and it’s been a huge slog to get here!  A mix of learning curves, hard graft, mistakes and breakthroughs. To be recognised by the MSP and solution provider community feels like a huge pat on the back for all the hard work my team and I have put in. When I told the team after the awards, everyone was absolutely buzzing. It’s a moment of genuine pride for all of us.

What has been instrumental or key to your success in the last year?

The biggest factor has been the quality of the team. Everyone comes from high-level corporate or consultancy backgrounds, which means we deliver to a gold standard. Our work speaks for itself: Watertight reports, robust automations and clear value to clients. Equally important is our ability to bridge the gap between tech and humans. We take complex AI and automation concepts and explain them in a reassuring, human way, which really matters in times of rapid change.

What’s the most important thing an MSP/solution provider needs to be successful today?

Human connection. In a world increasingly driven by AI and automation which, ironically, is exactly what we do, the human element matters more than ever. I see too many businesses trying to automate everything and losing that most important human element. In our GAINS methodology, the “special sauce” is the human part—empathy, connection and creativity. That’s what sets providers apart and keeps clients feeling supported.

What’s the biggest challenge ITSPs and MSPs face and how is Autonomate managing that?

The biggest challenge right now is the relentless speed of change. It’s easy to get distracted by shiny new tools and lose sight of what your business actually does well. At Autonomate, we tackle this by staying laser-focused on our strengths and doing them consistently at a high level. We keep a close eye on new tech but filter it through a clear lens: Does this serve our clients and our core mission? If not, we leave it.

What value or benefit do you get from being a part of the GTIA community?

I’ve been part of GTIA since the CompTIA days, and it’s a place to learn, grow and connect with peers who understand the highs and lows of this industry. Sometimes it’s like therapy for business owners! It’s a space to share frustrations and wins alike. It’s also opened doors for speaking, networking and learning that have been instrumental in Autonomate’s growth. The community aspect is invaluable.
