When you are a GTIA member, you are part of something big. Every time a company joins GTIA, not only are they joining the most exciting community in the channel — they are helping ensure technology is a force for good.
Together, we reached an incredible milestone in 2025: $1.91 million in charitable giving to nonprofits worldwide. (And we are just getting started! We will be substantially increasing our giving in 2026, so stay tuned!)
Also, during the coming months, we will be introducing you to all the organizations we have funded so far and sharing impact stories about the incredible work your membership supports. We will also be sharing even more ways you can get involved and connect with their missions.
2025 Giving: A Year of Expansion and Innovation
In 2025, GTIA launched a significantly expanded philanthropic portfolio designed to deepen impact and broaden reach. The programs include:
- - Member-directed giving, empowering members to nominate and vote for causes they care about
- - Host-city support, leaving a lasting impact in communities where GTIA events take place
- - A new grantmaking program, inviting nonprofits worldwide to apply for funding to scale tech-driven solutions
“Philanthropic work is woven throughout our organization's history,” said Kelly Ricker, Chief Operating Officer of GTIA. “This year, we took bold steps to ensure changemakers using technology to drive access, equity and opportunity to have the resources they need to succeed.”

Host City Support in 2025
GTIA awarded a $50,000 grant to Black Lemonade, a Nashville nonprofit that educates and equips underserved youth with the tools, confidence and opportunities they need to lead, thrive and transform their communities. The funds will support its Digital Black program, which provides access to digital tools, mentorship and career-aligned training.
GTIA members also gave back through hands-on volunteer initiatives:
- - At ChannelCon in Nashville, volunteers assembled and donated 35 brand-new electric guitars to Instruments for Education.
- - At ChannelCon EMEA, delegates packed 300 SchoolBags filled with essential educational resources — including notebooks, pencils, lunchboxes, and water bottles — for children affected by Storm Melissa in Jamaica. These SchoolBags are now en route to displaced children, helping them rebuild their futures through education.
