MSP Finance Team accepts the GTIA Spotlight Award

There's a difference between a company that shows up to the channel community and one that builds inside it. MSP Finance Team, led by commercial director Daniel Welling, has spent the last several years doing the latter—hosting the monthly Tech Tribe meetup in London, producing the "It's a Numbers Game" podcast, and treating financial literacy as something to be shared freely across the MSP community rather than held close.

That commitment to open, consistent knowledge-sharing is exactly why MSP Finance Team has been named the 2026 GTIA UK & Ireland Community Associate Member Award winner, recognized for outstanding engagement in GTIA activities and for making a positive impact on the lives and careers of channel professionals. Here’s what Welling had to say.

What accomplishment or initiative are you most proud of that led to this award?

The award recognised all the MSP Finance Teams community initiatives, from GTIA participation, curating our own events, hosting the Tech Tribe monthly meetup in London and producing our podcast, “It’s a Numbers Game”. I am most proud of the 120+ podcast episodes released with new connections made and positive feedback received from listeners from all sizes of MSPs, making knowledge sharing available to all in the MSP channel.

Where do you see the IT channel heading right now, and what trends do you think will define the next few years?

Change is the norm in the IT channel, with a consistent need of IT consumers to be guided through technology adoption, which I see remaining a constant. Internationalisation of SMEs and the MSPs that serve those businesses will be the next trend in my view, as the world continues to grow smaller!

What keeps you or your team motivated to keep innovating and leading within the GTIA community?

MSP Finance Teams’ mission is the raise the financial maturity of the MSP community, and we are seeing this achieved through increased MSP M&A and organic growth through improved margins and new services. GTIA provides the forum to keep our finger on the pulse of the wider community.

What's a lesson or unexpected insight you've picked up through your work with GTIA?

Collaboration and openness of businesses that meet in the GTIA community—a rising tide lifts all ships!

What impact do you hope your work has on the industry—or on the next generation of channel leaders?

Continued improvement in financial maturity of the technical innovators that found IT businesses, allowing owners and team members within their businesses to receive an appropriate reward for their efforts!

5 Questions with Renaissance Contingency Services Limited: 2026 GTIA UK & Ireland Innovative Distributor Award Winner

Some companies chase every trend that comes along. Renaissance Contingency Services Limited has taken a steadier approach—build genuine relationships, stay close to partners and let innovation grow out of real listening rather than novelty for its own sake. That philosophy shows up in everything from the evolving CyberExpoIreland event to a nine-venue MSP Roadshow built around meeting partners in their own backyard.
