Below is a roundup of key moments and featured videos worth your time.

What Were IT Service Providers Talking About?

    • Why trust is the new competitive advantage, and how transparency, consistency and authenticity turn an MSP into a true business partner
    • What this year's MSP 501 research shows: 99% of the list is focused on managed security services, more than 40% grew 15% or more and 42% are reinvesting in their business
    • Where the next wave of growth is coming from: SMBs and highly regulated industries like financial services, banking and healthcare
    • Why employees using unsanctioned AI tools is one of the biggest risks facing small business clients, and why clear guardrails matter
    • The "AI reckoning": What happens when AI is deployed on top of skipped security basics like user controls, network segmentation and knowing where data lives
    • How the "all-you-can-eat" pricing model squeezes out proactive security, and why AI gives MSPs the right reason to reset the budget conversation
    • How attackers are using AI to automate attacks at scale, making every small business a target
    • The shift from solutions provider to managed outcome provider, and why client AI conversations need to cover governance, ROI and the cost of the token economy

Trust Is the New Competitive Advantage for MSPs
Kelly Danziger, general manager of channel events at Informa Connect, joins GTIA's Scott Campbell to share what stood out in this year's MSP 501 research. The 501 represent $17 billion of the $650 billion managed services market, and 42% are reinvesting in their business for the long haul. Danziger explains why trust comes down to transparency, consistency and authenticity, why clients want an overall solution instead of a conversation about price or product, and why MSPs serving SMBs and regulated industries are best positioned for the next wave of growth.

AI Is Changing Cybersecurity Faster Than Most MSPs Realize
Kevin McDonald, COO and CISO of Alvaka, joins Campbell to unpack what he calls the AI reckoning: the moment MSPs that skipped basic security hygiene layer AI on top of it. Drawing on years of incident response, McDonald walks through a case where attackers used AI to compromise a trusted vendor's email, clone its payment portal and collect $1.5 million in about 72 hours. He explains why most of the incidents his team sees were preventable, why MSPs should know what they do well and partner for the rest, and why AI is the perfect opening to revisit a client's security budget. His bottom line: You either do security or you don't.

The Priorities Defining High-Growth MSPs
Brook Lee, GTIA's 2026 Member of the Year, guest hosts a conversation with Jason Rinker, director of AI business development at New Charter Technologies, who now supports 35 operating companies and counting. Rinker names training as his top priority for 2027 and explains the industry's shift from solutions provider to managed outcome provider. The two discuss starting clients on low-risk, high-ROI AI projects, educating them on the token economy and matching the right tool to the right outcome. Their advice for the quarter ahead: Figure out where you are in your AI journey and get plugged into the community.
