Subject Matter Expertise: General MSP, cybersecurity and IT channel industry commentary, GTIA membership mission and activities.

MJ Shoer is the chief community officer for GTIA, the only vendor-neutral, non-profit trade association for the IT channel. His global team is responsible for member engagement, programming, cybersecurity education and programming, industry thought leadership, marketing, recruitment and retention for the association’s 2,500 member organizations.

As chief community officer, Shoer increased the association’s global presence, expanding its member-led communities into Ireland, the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and to ASEAN countries in Southeast Asia. Under his direction, the association grew its cybersecurity offerings, including launching the Information Sharing and Analysis Organization (ISAO) and the Cybersecurity Trustmark, an organizational credential to help MSPs and solution providers elevate their cybersecurity awareness and readiness. Shoer has over three decades of experience in the IT industry, including as an MSP and former CompTIA Community member.
