Code of Conduct
Updated February 26, 2025
To highlight the values and goals of the organization, GTIA has an established code of conduct that is one of the guiding principles for participation in membership activities. As the premier IT channel trade association, GTIA is committed to treating everyone respectfully and fairly, as well as embracing the values that support and celebrate individuality among our workforce, our membership, and the industry as a whole. We embrace and encourage those differences and characteristics that make our members and event attendees unique, such as age, color, disability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and veteran status, and many others. We support both diversity, which is the composition of a group of people from different backgrounds and identities, and inclusion, which is how well those individuals are welcomed into all aspects of the GTIA community.
We believe that a fair-minded and broadly supportive environment is essential to achieving sustained excellence, fueling competitive advantage, and promoting innovation. It is the right thing to do. GTIA’s culture is built upon these foundational principles:
o Respectful communication and cooperation between all members of GTIA staff.
o Teamwork and participation that allows for the perspective of all members, event attendees, and groups.
o Mutual regard for each other and the communities we serve.
All GTIA members have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times. All members and GTIA event attendees are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects our foundational principles at all GTIA-sponsored and participative events.
Any GTIA member or event attendee found to have exhibited any discriminatory or harassing practices, conduct or behavior against others may be subject to removal from the relevant GTIA event/meeting.
GTIA members or event attendees who believe they have been subjected to or have witnessed any kind of discrimination or harassment that violates our values should immediately contact a member of the GTIA staff.
Code of Conduct Member Agreement:
“I undertake the responsibility of promoting a professional environment when engaging in GTIA activities and to encourage and maintain the important values of civility, community, respect towards all, and ethical conduct. If I behave in a way that is inconsistent with these values, I understand that GTIA may take appropriate action. GTIA’s mission is to advance the global tech industry. As a member, I am a proud ambassador of the tech community and will conduct myself in a manner that advances GTIA’s goals.”
