OAK BROOK TERRACE, Ill., August 4, 2025 – The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA), the nonprofit membership community connecting and representing the worldwide IT channel, today announced the availability of new resources created by members for members.

Unveiled during ChannelCon, the IT channel's premier annual conference, which took place last week in Nashville, the new resources include:

  • AWIT Guidebook: Organizational Strategies for Hiring, Advancing and Retaining Women in Technology
  • GTIA Cybersecurity Guidebook for ITSPs: Tabletop Exercises to Build Customer Resilience and Preparedness
  • GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark Marketing Toolkit for Assured status Trustmark holders

“GTIA is proud to expand our growing library of educational and enablement resources aimed at empowering GTIA member companies, including ITSPs, vendors and distributors,” said MJ Shoer, Chief Community Officer at GTIA. “One of our top priorities is to ensure our members have anytime access to tools to hire and retain talent, strengthen cybersecurity practices, and meet and exceed their business goals.”

Helping Women in IT Thrive

Women remain significantly underrepresented in technical positions, yet their contributions drive innovation, problem-solving, and business success. The AWIT Guidebook: Organizational Strategies for Hiring, Advancing and Retaining Women in Technology, developed by the GTIA North America Advancing Women in Technology Interest Group, is a comprehensive resource dedicated to helping organizations hire, retain, and advance women in technical roles within the IT industry. It provides data-driven insights, real-world statistics, and best practices to help companies build and sustain inclusive workplaces where women in IT can thrive.

Brook Lee, Vice President of Community and Channel at Liongard and chair of the AWIT Interest Group, emphasized the critical importance of the GTIA AWIT Guidebook as a transformative resource. “The guidebook equips companies with proven, data-driven tools and actionable strategies to effectively recruit, promote, and support women in technical roles,” she said. “The insights featured in the guidebook enable organizations to foster a more inclusive and dynamic workforce, drive sustained innovation, strengthen organizational resilience, and position themselves as leaders in diversity and equality within the tech industry.”

Increasing Business Resiliency

The GTIA Cybersecurity Guidebook for ITSPs: Tabletop Exercises to Build Customer Resilience and Preparedness is a resource designed to help IT Solution Providers (ITSPs) strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities and those of their clients. It offers guidance on performing meaningful tabletop exercises that are designed from real incidents using the methods of the threat actors. This allows the ITSP clients to think though different scenarios without the stress and disruption of a real incident, which help to identify gaps and proactively address them, which improves their security posture.

“In essence, the GTIA Cybersecurity Guidebook for ITSPs aims to equip ITSPs with knowledge through the use of guided tabletop exercises to identify risk and better advise clients to increase their security posture, which solidifies their position as trusted cybersecurity advisors,” said Nett Lynch, Chief Information Security Officer at Kraft & Kennedy and Vice Chair of the GTIA North America Cybersecurity Interest Group.

Helping IT Organizations Demonstrate Commitment to Security Excellence

The GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark Marketing Toolkit, available to GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark holders with Assured status, was designed by Pete Busam, founder of Equilibrium Consulting and a GTIA Member Champion, to help ITSPs derive more value from the Trustmark for their organizations.

"Achieving Assured status is a noteworthy accomplishment, but if an ITSP is the only one who knows it, they are missing a valuable opportunity to increase client stickiness, recruit new employees, and attract potential customers," said Busam. “We are proud to offer ITSPs content they can use to jumpstart their marketing campaigns and collateral, including a press release template and public recognition resources; website copy, email templates; social media posts, and blog templates; checklists and content calendars.”
